Release 0.12.3: updates without surprise
Live battles now survive release handoffs with a clear version notice and protection against silent server stalls.
The battle stays in command
An open STEEL//DROP tab now checks for a newer release without forcing a reload. If a version changes during combat, a compact status strip appears outside the battlefield and promises exactly one thing: the active battle will not be interrupted by the client.
The update action becomes available in the menu or battle report, where the player can reload deliberately. The arena, tank and combat HUD remain visible and interactive while the notice is present.
Silence is no longer an endless freeze
A formally open WebSocket could previously stop delivering game state without triggering the normal connection-lost path. The client would keep rendering the last frame forever, which looked like a frozen battle.
The client now reports a delayed server response after five seconds. If no authoritative state arrives for fifteen seconds, it exits the silent wait through the existing connection-loss result instead of leaving the commander trapped in a dead match.
